The Community Engagement Alliance Consultative Resource (CEACR)

The Community Engagement Alliance Consultative Resource (CEACR) serves as a channel for community-engaged best practices to research teams wanting to apply principles of community-engaged approaches to address health disparities and encourage participation in research programs. Through a partnership between the University of Pittsburgh and Community-Campus Partnerships for Health, CEACR has held more than 50 tailored consultations ranging in focus from partner compensation to appropriateness of public-facing study recruitment materials. CEACR's webinars, which bring together experts from academic, clinical, and community-based settings to lead discussions focused on representation in research, have garnered more than 1,700 views from across the country.

CEACR Services

CEACR provides curated expert consultations to research teams seeking to apply principles of community engagement to encourage research participation.

Each CEACR consult is supported by a panel of experts assembled based on the consultee’s specific or distinct requirements and goals. The panel of experts often comes from the very communities researchers are trying to reach. CEACR evaluates the consult process by performing regular check-ins with consultees to determine if the consultation was beneficial and helped achieve the consultee’s goals .

Requests for CEACR consult services can be made using the CEACR Consult Request Form.
