About NCPCR 

The CEAL Network for Community-Engaged Primary Care Research (NCPCR) Data Ecosystem includes three primary care research networks: MSM, HCN and OCHIN.

 The NCPCR program has two main components: 

  1. a data ecosystem that uses the existing data warehouse capabilities and electronic health record data from primary care settings in CEAL communities
  2. a clinical trial titled Community Health Workers Systematically Assessing and Addressing Social Determinants of Health to Improve Outcomes in Community-based Health Centers (CHW-SYSTIM) conducted in the primary care setting

NIH CEAL’s mission is to promote health, improve health outcomes, and strengthen community partnerships through community-engaged research to address health disparities. NIH CEAL aims to partner with communities to: 

  • Build trust in science and research
  • Ensure inclusion across the research continuum
  • Advance community-driven solutions addressing differences in health outcomes
  • Strengthen community-engaged research
